Jetboat Rides!

What would be a waterfront event without excellent music and dance? We have a stellar lineup for your enjoyment this year, including:

Headliner: Recess Monkey

This nationally acclaimed, award-winning trio has been praised by Time, The New York Times, NPR and People for their exciting, high-energy shows. Mixing hilarious lyrics with danceable songs, Recess Monkey will make you feel like a kid again. Don’t just take our word for it. USA Today writes: “These kids’ songs are awesome! There are bands you can’t go wrong with, and this is one of them.”

Obo Addy’s Okropong

Okropong means “eagle” in Obo Addy’s native Ga language, and this group of musicians and dancers from the Obo Addy Legacy Project will have you flying high. Performing traditional Ghanaian music, the group incorporates driving rhythms using a variety of hand and stick drums, while dancers clad in colorful West African garments interactively engage with the drummers, ending performances in a spirited call and response with audience members.

Quirky, funny, and upbeat, the Alphabeticians create original rock ‘n’ roll music for families. Mr. Hoo and Mr. E will lead your kids on a whirling, twirling musical adventure!

Lori Henriques

Lori Henriques is a Grammy-nominated artist, who The Washington Post cheers, “…will have you smiling, at times laughing, and in general feeling really good about who you are.” Several of her hit songs have reached #1 on SiriusXM, and Willamette Week said her music nods to both “Cole Porter and first-wave Sesame Street in a single gesture.”

Believe us when we say that you will absolutely love her award-winning, jazzy approach to children’s music!

Honoring Our Rivers

Come hear students share their poems and stories about their love for rivers. This local talent is sure to rekindle your affection for our beloved watersheds. Honoring Our Rivers is an anthology of creative writing and art about the rivers of the Pacific Northwest from students (K-college) around the region, a project of the Portland-based nonprofit Willamette Partnership.
